Build Better Crew 2025

“Firestop is so much more complicated than any other special inspection scope” This was a quote from the first special inspector I ever trained. Do you agree with this? Where do you go for help?  Now, you can join the Build Better Crew and find answers. If I can’t give you an answer I will connect you to someone who can.

Build Better Crew Members Get:

  • Access to a growing library of videos you can learn from. (currently almost 20 hours of content). We are talking articles, blog posts, YouTube Videos and all of last year’s discussion are curated in segments to help you focus your learning.  Please spend as much time as you can. Let the videos join you on your commute (just don’t WATCH the videos if you are driving!). Use them to educate the folks you work with on site. (YES, you are allowed to share them, we even give you the YouTube links- share to your hearts content. Help others build better. )
  • Access to all the resources discussed in our sessions.
  • One hour each month to cover a predetermined topic and any questions the team may have brought up since our last Crew Meetup.
  • Discounts on all the Firestop Coffee Break Training courses.

Please know that Sharron will do her very best to answer your questions, support the response with codes and standards, but she is fallible and is not responsible for the consequences of these discussions. References to building codes may include Sharron’s interpretation of the building code. The stance of the AHJ and AOR will always supplant the opinion of anyone else, including Sharron.

We are looking to grow our crew of people who want to have a better understanding of firestop and passive fire protection.

This Crew understands that we all need a little help from time to time.

If you have ever wanted to ask for help, but didn’t know where to, turn join us.

Each Meetup will:

  • Meet on a Teams call twice a month from June to October
  • Very roughly follow a three part format that will start with an arranged discussion followed by a segment where Sharron will do her best to answer your questions and if we have time, we will open the floor to a free discussion.
